Damage - Economics - Public Health
The main economic liability of gophers (also known as pocket gophers) is their destruction of plants of all kinds and their burrowing activities. Gophers are strictly vegetarians and much of their lives is spent in underground burrows that can wind over a good part of an acre. Several control techniques may be employed for gopher control including repellants, traps or baiting depending upon the individual site characteristics.
